Cosmic Bear

For today's review, I'll be looking at Cosmic Bear by Nature Lovin' Lubricants. As always, click any image for a larger version!

Glowing:
Right after being under light:
~10 minutes later (still glowing, but not as vibrant green):

Glow-in-the-dark lube sounds like perfection- glowing genitals, glowing toys, and the perfect addition to any sci-fi role play.1 Though the concept is glorious, the product did not deliver quite enough glowing for my taste.

The lube itself is fairly squishy, and has a faint odor. Taste-wise it's very close to neutral, with a touch of sourness. This lube does have a bit of grittiness to it that becomes more apparent when using orally. For this reason, I would not recommend this lube for anal play. I found this lube a bit reminiscent of Sliquid Sea, and was pleasantly surprised as this easily could have been a gambit lube, with terrible quality excused by its novelty factor. This is a water-based lube, and can be used with any toys, such as: wood, latex, and rubber. It's easily washed off with soap and water, and is non-staining.

Ingredients: Deionized Water, Zinc Sulfide Copper Doped, Propylene Grycol, Carragenan, Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose Gum, Sodium Lactate, Citric Acid, Carbomer, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Dimethyl Polysiloxane, L-lysine Hydrochloride

There is a tiny amount of silicone in this lube, so if using with silicone be sure to test it on a toy's base first. I haven't had it react with a silicone toy yet, and the silicone gives the lube a nice glide. There isn't any information on the type of carbomer used, though otherwise all the ingredients are safe. Regardless, before using test a bit of lube on your thigh or wrist for any reactions.

The glowing is a lovely bright green, and it can be refreshed with bright light. If you're not moving, and have a layer of lube down, you'll glow for a long period of time, and it'll be fantastic.2 Also as one would expect, the thicker or more blob-like, the longer and stronger it glows. However, if you begin to actually use the Cosmic Bear as a lubricant, and rub around, the glowing goes away even if you shine light on it. I automatically rub lube, so when I want to glow for more than ten seconds, I go through a lot. As the glowing factor is the deciding point, I advise thinking about how you enjoy using lube to determine if it's worth it.

1 I unfortunately have yet to get two cock-owners to slather their genitals and sword fight while making lightsaber noises.
2 Coolest moment was definitely looking down at my glowing green vulva. I'm an alien!

Koala: Papaya Mango, S'mores, and Strawberry Margarita

Today I'll be looking at three flavored lubricants from Nature Lovin' Lubricants' Koala line. Click either image to see a larger version!

The Koala line is fairly extensive with flavors like Mojito, Tiramisu, and Orange Creamsickle. I requested the chance to review some of the Koala line, as I'd already tried the Raspberry Chessecake- and it was wicked delicious. Unfortunately the flavors I tested, weren't as awesome.

Strawberry Margarita was the worst, tasting disturbingly similar to cough syrup. The S'mores flavor is good, but really sweet, and I didn't want more than a few licks of it. Finally Papaya Mango was my favorite of the bunch with a lovely mango aftertaste- though I still preferred the Raspberry Cheesecake flavor. Koala does offer sample packets, or taste buds, so you can pick out your favorite before committing to an entire bottle.

Scent-wise, all of the flavors' scents matched, and were fairly strong. These lubes are on the thin side, and with rubbing quickly absorb into skin. These are glycerin and paraben free. As these are water-based lubricants, they don't stain, can be washed away easily, and are safe to use with any toys.

Due to the thinness and absorbancy rate, I wouldn't advise the Koala line for anything other than oral play. Depending on flavor, some of the Koala line will make genitals taste like their flavor, while others won't. With these three, the S'mores and Strawberry Margarita masked, and the Papaya Mango did not. As with any lubricant, I would recommend testing for an allergic reaction on one's wrist or upper thigh before using genitally.

Holy Water Lube

For today's review, I'll be looking at Holy Water Lube by Divine Interventions. Click either of the images to see a larger version!

Close Up:

This is the third, and final, item of the divine trinity I was sent to review. This slippery water-based lube made both God's Immaculate Rod and the girthy Devil feel right at home quickly. I found this lube worked far better for internal play than external. When used externally, the lube got a little too tacky too quickly for me. If this happens you can add more lube to strengthen it, or use a little water to wake it back up. This is a rather thin lube, so I wouldn't recommend it for anal as you may want a little more cushion. For vaginal use, with toys and/or people, this lube worked wonderfully. It didn't become tacky when used internally due to vaginal moisture, and as it's a thin lube, it could easily make a lot of surface area slippery with just a little lubricant.

Holy Water Lube comes in a flip-top four ounce bottle, with a few cheeky phrases. This lube is rather light in scent and flavor, overall I didn't find it pleasant or unpleasant, the scent vaguely smelt like mixing a plant with baby powder. As a water-based lube, this will not stain clothes, and is safe on any sex toy material. It also works fine with latex, and is pure vegan. For safety this lube doesn't have any parabens or glycerine; though if you still have an allergic reaction, you should discontinue use.

Ingredients: Water, Propanediol (Natural Humectant), Cellulose Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Phenethyl Alcohol, PPG-2 Methyl Ether, Methylisothiazolinone, Alcohol, Lycium Barbarum Fruit Extract, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract, Sodium Hydroxide

This certainly isn't the best water-based lube on the market, but it is functional and in its adorable container would make for a fabulous gift. If you're already getting one of their toys it's definitely worth adding to your basket.
